Christmas Photography Fun with Skip Hire Magazine

This was possibly one of the oddest and most fun photoshoots of 2016.  Andrew (Skip Hire Magazine's Editor) asked me to take some photographs of their 2016 Skip Chick and Skip Hunk for the festive December edition of the magazine.  And on a bitterly cold but bright and sunny day, I trotted off to Bristol.

Skip Hire Magazine's Skip Chick for 2016 is the gorgeous Carley Venn from Bateman Skip Hire.  When I arrived at the Bateman site in Bristol, Carley was ready to go wearing a fabulous Mother Christmas outfit.  We also set up a Christmas tree in the skip storage yard to give the photos that special festive flavour.Skip Chick 2016

Skip Hunk for 2016 was Seb Little from the Egbert Taylor Group who actually make skips and other containers for waste collection and recycling.  Seb's business suit looked a little unfestive, but we quickly got him changed into a Father Christmas suit that I just happened to have in the boot of my car.  Soon he was fully donned in a red coat, red hat, white beard, white wig, and some wellington boots that we found in the workshop.

When we walked out to the yard, there were a few bemused looks from the drivers passing through.  Carley and Seb were fantastic and we had some real fun taking the photos. With the Christmas tree carefully positioned as a backdrop in amongst the stacked skips, we had Father Christmas in skips and even wrapping Mother Christmas.

Thanks to Carley and Seb for being such sports and you can ready the interviews on the Skip Hire Magazine website.

A selection of the photos can be seen on the Press Photography section of the website.
