The Wales Quality Centre Awards event is a celebration of good business practice in Wales. Their awards ceremony and masterclass workshops were held on 23rd January 2019 at Hensol Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. The Wales Quality Centre was founded by the journalist, writer and television presenter Vincent Kane. The not-for-profit Centre provides business improvement and skills development training and support.

The event celebrated 30 years of the Wales Quality Centre. There were five main awards, including the 2018 Wales Quality Award which was won by Calsonic Kansei, based in Llanelli. Vincent Kane received a special award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Business Excellence’. There were talks from the key note speaker, Richard Watson, and Ian Derrick from the Bank of England Agency for Wales. After the awards, the Wales Quality Centre organised four masterclass workshops covering supply chain management, workplace management, finance and technology.
