Being an event photographer means you get to meet some of your sporting heroes like Pride of Wales boxer Joe Calzaghe.  When The Events Room held a special celebratory dinner in Swansea, Jo Davies and I were there to photograph guests with the boxer and provide prints on the night.  In an illustrious career that started in 1993, Calzaghe fought and won 46 times, with 32 knock-outs.  He is widely regarded as one of boxing’s true greats, winning the WBO, IBF, WBC, WBA and The Ring super-middleweight belt before moving up to and winning The Ring Light-heavyweight belt.  On the night, Calzaghe was a true gentleman, spending time with his fans before telling the story of his amazing career.  It was a night that I will never forget.
