Collection: 5in55 Ty Hafan Mountain Challenge

Between the 5th and 7th July 2018, a group of 16 men took on the 5in55 challenge to climb 5 of the highest mountains in the UK within 55 hours to raise awareness of and funds for Ty Hafan, a young person’s hospice located just outside Cardiff in South Wales.  The challenge was a merger of the UK 3 Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) and the Welsh 3 Peaks (Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen-y-Fan).

The group was made up of mainly Dads whose families have been or are being cared for by the Ty Hafan team, along with, three uncles, two staff members and one sponsor.  The team was also supported with two staff and two volunteers who took on the responsibility of driving, cooking, and taking care of the 16 walkers.  These photographs tell the story of their 5in55 adventure, seen across social media as #5in55.  All profits from the sale of any photograph print or download in this collection will go to the Ty Hafan #5in55 challenge.  The photographs can be viewed in 6 separate albums as shown below:
