Kirsty Williams AM Visits CAI

HomeimagesKirsty Williams AM, Cabinet Secretary for Education for the National Assembly of Wales, visited Caerbont Automotive Instruments (CAI) to discuss recent business growth and their successful apprenticeship scheme. These photographs were taken to support a blog that we wrote and posted on the CAI website.  They were also sent to Kirsty Williams for her use on social media. Throughout the tour, Kirsty was genuinely interested in the manufacturing process.  CAI design and manufacture gauges for cars, motorcycles, marine application and aviation projects.  Their SMITHS brand of gauges have an amazing history and can be found in a wide range of classic cars such as the Aston Martin DB1 (the Aston Martin photo album) and 1951 Triumph 6T Thunderbird Motorcycle. During her visit, Kirsty also met CAI's young apprentices.  Kirsty is really keen on promoting engineering to young people and developing apprenticeship programmes.
