Broadway Tower is a historic landmark and country park in the Cotswolds, known for its panoramic views and varied history as a folly, printing press, and wartime lookout. It was designed by Capability Brown and built in 1798 on Beacon Hill, the second-highest point in the Cotswolds. On a cold day in November 2025, my wife and I walked up to the Tower from the beautiful village of Broadway. The 1.8 mile, 725 foot (220 metre) ascent walk takes you up to a parkland surrounding the Tower, where the views are incredible. With the clear weather, from the top of the tower we could turn 360 degrees and see 16 counties.
