At the end of November 2025, the audience in the Swansea Building Society Arena was treated to a Christmas musical extravaganza organised by the wonderful Maggie’s Swansea. Maggie’s supports people and their families who have been diagnosed with cancer. Their centre in Swansea is a space for being together or for a moment alone, for getting going again or for meeting people who just get it. All their cancer support specialists have expert knowledge about cancer and treatment, and many are NHS-trained. This year’s Christmas Extravaganza was spectacular, hosted by Swansea legend Kev Johns MBE and with performances from Mike Doyle, Mike Sterling, Shelleyann, Hayley Gallivan, Tara Camm, the Mellin Theatre Arts dance group, Allegro, and Harry’s Youth Theatre. The festive music, and an appearance by Father Christmas, meant that everyone went home with a sprinkling of Christmas cheer.
