Aston Martin DB2/4 1953

This 1953 Aston Martin DB2/4 Arnolt Bertone Spyder was photographed for Caerbont Automotive Instruments (CAI) at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.  CAI continue to manufacture the SMITHS gauges that feature in most Aston Martin classic cars.  This Arnolt-Aston Martin is one of the first six original DB2/4 LHD chassis that were fitted with special bodies crafted by Bertone in Turin, Italy and exported to the US by car dealer S.H. Arnolt.  Of the first six, three were built as cabriolets and three as spyders, with two of the latter completed as stripped out racers.  This is the only spyder built to a road-going specification and is particularly rare.
