The 2024 #ConcreteSpoon, organised by The Concrete Society Wales Region and raising funds for the amazing Wales region of the Wooden Spoon charity, returned to Sophia Gardens. For the ninth year, Jo Davies and I were the event photographers. This year’s guests were Welsh rugby royalty with scrum halves Brynmor Williams and Rupert Moon, joined by fly-half Jonathan Davies, with regular host Sean Holley. As always, this was a great afternoon’s entertainment for any rugby enthusiast. The stories came thick and fast, much to the amusement of Sean Holley and the audience. The Concrete Spoon event raises money for the Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby, to fund projects to support children with disabilities across the UK & Ireland. This year’s event raised over £36,000, which is simply incredible!
