In 2016, a group of Dads of children who are being or have been supported by Tŷ Hafan agreed to be photographed on the rocky beach next to the hospice. The catch was that they had to be naked. The photographs were for a special 2017 calendar called ‘Dads Bare All’. Not only did the calendar generate increased awareness of and funds for Tŷ Hafan, but it also highlighted issues regarding men’s mental health and mental well-being. Men are not known for openly expressing feelings and this can cause great anxiety especially when having a child with a life-limiting illness. The calendar gave the Dad’s a silent voice of appreciation for the love and care given to their children and families by the staff at the hospice. The next challenge for the Dads, brothers and uncles in the 10nTaff where they climb 10 mountains and cycle off-road 50 plus miles all within 55 hours – The 10nTaff Challenge.
