In April 2025, I joined a team formed by The Events Room to trek to Everest Base Camp. Trekking in the Himalayas was something I had only ever dreamed of and from the moment we landed at Lukla in Nepal to start the trek, I felt in awe of my surroundings. The vast towering peaks, coated in snow, and the deep sweeping valleys cut by rivers carrying water from melting glaciers. This set of photographs was taken as we climbed to Everest Base Camp, showing the dramatically changing landscape as we climbed up to 5,364 metres. The photographs capture some of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen and do not do them justice. They start with a flight from Ramechhap in the early hours of the morning and finish with an early morning flight out of Lukla. Maybe it will inspire other adventurers to explore this incredible mountain range.
