Dyffryn Gardens

This is a collection of photographs of the wonderful historical house and botanical gardens of Dyffryn Gardens located near the villages of Dyffryn and St. Nicholas in the Vale of Glamorgan.  There are magnificent Edwardian gardens flowing from grand vistas to intimate spaces overlooked by a large mansion.

Dyffryn Gardens is cared for by a team of staff and volunteers from the National Trust. Under their loving care, the gardens have been transformed back to their former glory and the house slowly nurtured back to its previous splendour.  The gardens cover more than 55 acres and feature a stunning collection of intimate garden rooms including a rose garden, Pompeian garden and several ponds.  The enormous great lawn is bordered by seasonal bedding and a croquet lawn. There is also a large glasshouse, statuary collection, and arboretum featuring trees from all over the world.  This is a highly recommended day out with wonderful walks and open areas for picnics and for children to play.
