The 1997 British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa was a milestone in rugby union history.  The future of the Lions was in question with onset of professionalism and the lack of success.  The Lions turned to Sir Ian McGeechan, a brilliant coach and passionate Lion who had toured in both 1974 and 1977.  He masterminded an incredible series victory against the reigning World Cup winners, the South Africa Springboks.  To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the triumph, The Events Room held a fantastic celebratory dinner at the Cardiff Marriott Hotel.  The evening, hosted by Sean Holley, featured guests Sir Ian McGeechan, John Bentley, Scott Gibbs, Neil Jenkins, and Paul Wallace.  What a great evening for any rugby fan!
