The Concrete Society South West Region held their 2025 annual lunch at the Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol on the 5th September. The event provides the ideal networking and social platform for companies and people involved in the concrete, construction and aggregate sector in the South West area. The guest speaker was David Flatman or ‘Flats’, an English sports pundit and former rugby union prop who represented England eight times between 2000 and 2002 and played club rugby for Saracens and Bath. He gave a fascinating insight his life as a rugby union player, highlighting how the game has evolved in the last fifteen years. At the event, the Concrete Society South West raised funds for the local Children’s Hospice South West.
