Photographing ground breaking technology is always fascinating. This large industrial magnetiser, designed and built by Bunting, magnetises a permanent magnet rotor assembly for a high-end automotive traction motor used in an electric vehicle. Based in the UK, Bunting’s engineering team is world-leading in bespoke industrial magnetisers for complex magnetising applications in the automotive, aerospace and electronics sectors. The location of the industrial magnetiser, which had to be photographed where built, was challenging, but we managed to get a great set of images that have been used in a press release and on the company’s website.
