This was the third year that Jo Davies and I, under our Double Take Photography brand, photographed the Porthcawl Mayors Charity Fund Ball. As in previous years. the ball was held in the Porthcawl Grand Pavilion on the sea front of the popular coastal town. This year, the ball’s theme was classic movies. A bright red 1958 Chevrolet greeted guests as they arrived, sparkling in the evening Spring sunshine. Many of the guests had their photographs taken alongside the car.

At the ball, Jo and I print and sell the photographs. £2 from every sale goes to the Porthcawl Mayors Charity Fund and it is a great way of generating extra funds on the night. As well as having their photographs taken with the car, couples and groups could step into the makeshift studio and have their photographs taken and printed. It was another great event raising money to fund local projects.
