Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf Waterfall

Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf waterfall (meaning ‘Upper gushing falls’) is on the Nedd Fechan river in Brecknockshire, South Wales and forms part of the popular Waterfall Country.  The route to the falls starts at Pontneddfechan Village and forms part of the Elidir trail, which includes the Sgwd Gwladus waterfall.

The entrance to a fairy kingdom is reputed to be somewhere along the Elidir Trail, which takes you upstream along the path on the right hand side of the River Pyrddin to Sgwd Gwladus, the Lady Falls.  The Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf waterfall is the final waterfall at the upper most point of the walk.
