The Events Room’s celebration lunch marking Wales 2021 Six Nations success may have been delayed until September, but did not dampen the audience’s excitement about the headline guest Wayne Pivac. The Wales head coach joined host, rugby journalist Phil Steele, on stage at Cornerstone in the centre of Cardiff. After an excellent 3-course meal, Wayne joined Phil on stage to talk through his life in rugby and his thoughts on guiding Wales to an unexpected Six Nations success. With humour and passion for the game of rugby, Wayne gave the audience a glimpse into the life of a test side coach. He talked about his early days in Wales with the Scarlets and explained how this Welsh side is only halfway through a journey towards the 2023 World Cup and how the coaching team intends to continue developing the trademark try scoring style. A wonderful afternoon for any rugby enthusiast.
