Will Carling Concrete Soc Spring Lunch 2025

Guests were treated to a wonderful lunch talking rugby with Sean Holley and guest speaker Will Carling at the 2025 The Concrete Society Wales Region Spring Lunch (Marriott Hotel, Cardiff).  Will Carling was only 22 when he became England’s youngest ever captain, winning 72 caps between 1988 and 1996, with 59 as captain.  He played all his club rugby with Harlequins and played once in a British and Irish Lions test match.  Often outspoken and controversial, Will gave the audience an insight into one of the most successful periods of England rugby.  Once again, the Concrete Society Wales Region used the lunch to raise funds for Wooden Spoon Wales, the children’s charity of rugby.  The Wooden Spoon is a grant-making charity that funds life-changing projects supporting children and young people across the UK & Ireland.  The generosity of people in the room was incredible..  Another great event!
