PR and Photographs of Bunting Magnetics Magnetic Drum Separators at BCMY

I have spent most of my life in processing and recycling plants and I still thoroughly enjoy being on site.  For a photographer these sites pose many technical challenges apart from the safety issues of being on a working plant.  Light, dust, accessibility and space are but four challenges, but there are many more.

And that's what makes a project like this so exciting.  As part of my marketing support for Bunting Magnetics Europe, based in Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, I visit sites where their equipment is installed, take photographs and also interview their customers.  I then write the press release, blog and use the content for online marketing and social media.  Doing the photography and the PR at the same time works really well as I can ensure that the photographs are right for the story.

BCMY Ltd, based in Lansing, West Sussex, reclaim and recycle old laser and toner cartridges and they had installed a Bunting Magnetic Drum to remove steel from the shredded cartridges that could not be recovered and reused.  Simon Gilchrist, BCMY's Managing Director, was very helpful and informative.

The result was an interesting and informative case history that has now been published online and in print in industry media across Europe including the HUB.

The photographs of the BCMY plant and the Bunting Magnetic Drum can be seen on the Business section of the website.
