To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, enthusiasts from around the world were stunned by a surprise visit from the Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi.  In my guise as the event photographer (but, in fact, more as a huge Doctor Who fan) I had the opportunity to meet and photograph both Peter Capaldi and Stephen Moffat, writer and executive producer of two series of Doctor Who.  I have to say that Peter Capaldi was amazing.  He was the Doctor.  He gave fans an insightful and detailed guided tour of the Doctor Who monsters (with amazing knowledge – but then he’s the Doctor).  He spent time with fans, had a Q&A with fans and was generally brilliant.  With a group of young fans, he even fought off attacks from two Doctor Who enemies, a Dalek and the Mummy.  And’ as always, the Doctor saved the day!
