Cadair Idris 2026

Cadair Idris is the mountain most people fear when taking on the Welsh 3 Peaks.  This is always the mountain that pushes the teams on the Tŷ Hafan Welsh 3 Peaks to the limit.  For the first time on the Tŷ Hafan Welsh 3 Peaks, the teams followed the Pony Path from the Tŷ Nant car park.  The 6.2 miles to the summit and back included climbing 2,384 feet.  As we set off, the weather was overcast but warm.  Waterproofs and fleeces were coming off, but the break in the poor weather did not last.  Back came the rain and the wind, making conditions difficult for the teams as they trakked to the top.
