Tŷ Hafan Prince Charles Visit

On 23rd February 2018, HRH Prince Charles visited Tŷ Hafan, the young person’s hospice located near Sully in South Wales, UK.  I was acting as the Press Photographer for Tŷ Hafan and had the opportunity to photograph the Prince as he toured the hospice, meeting and talking with families and staff.  The visit by Prince Charles was a fantastic boost for everyone and he was wonderful, spending time chatting and giving support to children and parents.  He signed his hand print on the Tŷ Hafan ‘Wall of Fame’, joining the ranks of many families, staff and celebrities.

During the visit, Prince Charles was shown the extensive refurbishment work being undertaken in the grounds. The work has revitalised the gardens, creating new walks, quiet hideaways, and play areas. With blue skies, the Prince was able to enjoy the wonderful views across the Severn Estuary and experience Tŷ Hafan’s sense of peace and tranquillity.  In June 2020, the Prince announced the renewal of his patronage of Tŷ Hafan.
