Warren Gatland unquestionably ranks as an all-time great rugby union coach. His record with Wales and the British and Irish Lions in particular is incredible. The 2024 Six Nations preview dinner, organised by The Events Room and held at Cornerstone in Cardiff, gave the Wales coach the opportunity to talk about the forthcoming tournament and the direction in which he is taking Welsh rugby. There were expected questions about Louis Rees-Zammit’s departure for the NFL and the loss of so many experienced players. Despite the challenges, Gatland was very positive, citing the young talent that was going to take Wales through to the next World Cup. Another excellent evening for rugby enthusiasts from any nation.
