The Highest Waterfall in South Wales

The Highest Waterfall in South Wales

Sunday August 24, 2014

Our latest treck across Waterfall Country in South Wales too us to Henryhd Falls near Coelbren in Powys.  It is the tallest waterfall in South Wales and quite simply breath-taking.  The stunning 90 ft (27m) drop of water occurs when the Nant Llech cascades over the Farewell Rock, a faulted edge of hard sandstone.  It is truly spectacular and is one of the few waterfalls that you can actually walk behind.

And watch out for Batman, as the final scene of The Dark Knight Rises was filmed at the falls, doubling as the entrance for the Batcave.
