After two days of climbing mountains, the 10nTaff team took to their bicycles, driven up the night before by Daniel Davies-Hale. At Brecon they were joined by Lloyd Davies from Convey Law, who had to withdraw from the mountain stages due to a foot injury, John Lowes and Huw Jones. In damp, often rainy conditions, the team cycled 53 miles along the Taff Trail from Brecon to Cardiff. And it was tough. Everyone was suffering with some sort of injury or niggle, especially of the knees. We have to dig in deep and, inspired by the incredible Georgie Fear, we managed to arrive at the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay and received a hero’s welcome from friends and family. Our aim was to complete the 10nTaff challenge in 55 hours and we finished in 55 hours and 20 minutes.
